In this guide, we highlight the similarities and differences between the AR1 and SR1 hubs, as well as 3rd and 4th generation carbon spokes.
Because they have a wide inner width and are lightweight, I use 30C tires to take advantage of their inertia and absorb vibrations. This reduces the strain on my legs and body, giving me more energy left for the final sprint of a race. They’re great wheels.
I have owned Eve, Princeton Carbon Works, Synchros Capital SL and Scope wheels. These wheels are every bit as good as any of those if maybe not even better. They are significantly lighter and half the cost or less. The finish is beautiful and the laser etching is much nicer than decals. Bearings roll better than ceramic speed. I upgraded to the 4th generation spokes for weight reduction but after riding these I agree they absorb a lot of road buzz. And they are fast. Put them on my tarmac 7 and had my fastest time ever on a 27 mile loop I ride a couple times a week. Highly recommend them to anyone at any level of riding!
Got the GCX Hyperlight 45 wheels and these extra spokes. Took the wheels to climb northern California mountains and they do NOT disappoint! They are the real deals. Was going for the Schmolke's. Glad to save > $2000 and bloody Trump tariffs.
